8 Wks, 0 Days - Nausea is My Friend

I have a new best friend. Her name is Nausea. She pops up when I haven't eaten in 10 minutes or so, and she is a fabulous indication of a healthy hormonal cocktail flowing through my veins. She isn't overpowering (yet) or even annoying. She's just present.

I have never been so happy to feel like crap.

The beauty of infertility (if there is any beauty about infertility, that is) is that pregnancy symptoms are each small victories to be celebrated. My pants are a little tighter and I'm thrilled. My boobs look like a veiny spiderweb, and I think they're amazing. And, now, Nausea has arrived, and she is the ultimate reassurance.

I absolutely love her.

Welcome Nausea! LOL! I hope it is just enough to remind you of the amazing life inside, but not debilitate you...I am anxiously awaiting her myself :)

Awe, I'm so happy for you. I've often imagined how lucky I would feel to puke my guts out everyday!!!

I took comfort in it as well. It can come and go - like go away for a day, maybe two, then come back - which is mildly alarming in the beginning. Here's to another month of nausea for ya! Followed by an expanding belly and things, of course.

It's a good sign that it hasn't been overwhelming yet -- you may get lucky (finally!) and escape the bad stuff.

When I feel extra horrible and overwhelmed, I say, "I love you, babies." It doesn't help the symptoms, but it makes me feel better.

While I was thrilled to be pg with our daughter and welcomed the nausea as a sign that this one would stick, I couldn't keep anything down for a month or so...if it gets really bad, try Gatorade. Our nurse suggested it and it worked wonders! So cheers:)

Yeah!!!! I LOVE your attitude, doll! I am so glad you truly realize the blessing pregnancy is. All those symptoms are awesome. You KNOW how horribly sick I was the entire time...but I loved it all. I remember telling God I wouldn't complain...and I kept my word. I'm so glad you are getting to experience all that pregnancy is...and that you know how to love all the changes you are feeling. I CANNOT WAIT until you post about the first time you feel that little baby flutter around...or kick you...or have the hiccups...or L's reaction to feeling his baby kick him. It's amazing doll. I am soooooooo glad you are pregnant! Cheers to your new best friend! Glad you have found each other...and that her presence brings you peace!

Congratulations! I totally get welcoming the symptoms and signs with open arms-- as a dear one once said to me, a little reassurance goes a long way. Congratulations on your wonderful ultrasound too. It all sounds very very good.

I agree, even when laying on the couch feeling awful, I have found comfort in each symptom that means I am still (amazingly) pregnant.
