We had a really great break from things over the last few days. It was so nice to spend quality time with L., and it was a good feeling to detach from the drama in our lives and reconnect with each other.
We saw Coldplay on Sunday evening, which was the main reason for our trip. I was able to handle the numerous pregnant women who seemed to flock to Chris Martin - sometimes I think they're following me! I was able to focus on L. and where we are with each other. It was one of the best nights we've had together in a long time.
So, I'm uplifted, and I hope I can hold onto this feeling as I finish out my last week at work (before starting my new job) and the going away parties in front of me. At least I'll be able to enjoy a few spirits in the process!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you had such a great time. It so makes a difference to be able to get away and relax. :o)
I think those pg ladies follow me too. They are everywhere I am. I guess it is like when you get a certain car and all of a sudden you see that brand car everywhere. So happy to hear that you got to get away and relax...and see coldplay..that is AWESOME!! I will say some prayers for you about leaving your job for a new one..I hope the transition is easy.
Sometimes I think pregnant women are like cats - they are always attracted to the very people who don't want to be around them.
Glad you had a refreshing time. Those kinds of week(end)s are so nice to have.
Oh, that relaxing thing doesn't come often in the infertility world. Glad to hear you had a marvelous time! Cheers! I'll drink in your honor tonight (to a great trip, a great time with hubby, hope, and to the beginning of a new cycle)!
Hey there,
I've been asked this question a few times and can totally see why someone wouldn't want to share the fact that they are going through IVF...it's a very personal thing.
We personally have never regretted telling our family and friends. We knew that there was no way we could go through something as stressful and draining as IVF without telling them. We needed their support and even more importantly their prayers. We are extremely close to our families and we just didn't want to go at this alone.
It has also allowed them to be sensitive in situations that otherwise they wouldn't have known any better. It's hard for someone to be sensitive to you in an area that they have no idea you are struggling with, ya know?
Ultimately, it's up to you guys to decide what's best for you as a couple. We're happy that we have our family and friends by our side during this trying time and we'll be even happier we have them by our side when we get to share it finally worked! :)
No matter what you decide, know that I've added you to my blog buddy list and I pray for everyone on my list, daily...that God will bless us all with our hearts desire.

It sounds like such a nice start to the process. I've found that hubby and I have grown closer through all of this, and that if we manage to have a baby, we will be a stronger team. I got mad with Chris Martin ever since they denied that they didn't come up with the name "Apple." It was so obvious to everyone, they should have just come clean about it.
