Current side effects of the 2 week wait:
1. Crazy Butt Pain. These progesterone shots are killer. It's not the shot itself, but the aftermath. Yesterday, I felt like a little old lady who needed help just to roll off the couch. In some weird, sadomasachistic way, I actually like these shots because they make me feel like I'm still doing something to keep those little cells viable. Maybe I just got addicted to giving myself shots every night - it sometimes feels like something is missing these days....
2. Cramps. I get nervous when I get them and nervous when I don't. I've read that they're normal and don't mean anything one way or the other, but that sure is hard to buy right now. Yes, I'm still avoiding Dr. Google - he'll be more of an issue next week, if I know me.
3. Anxiety. I'm dealing this by doing nice things for myself. I got a pedicure this afternoon and on the advice of a good friend, purchased a copy of Twilight this afternoon.
Here's to focusing on bloodthirsty vampires instead of dividing embryos.
Thanks, A.

hey leslie,
glad to join you in the 2ww. and yes, the pio stinks. already. hard to imagine what 6 weeks of it will feel like, but if we get a positive we'll both be extremely motivated.
are you using the ethyl oleate (saw it on your pic). we switched to that after i turned out to be alleric to the sesame and olive oil versions. it's much easier, thinner, easier to inject. glad you have a good movie to distract you. hope the time passes quickly. hang in there. wishing you the best!

I refused to read the Twilight books for the longest time, and then I finally gave in. You know, they may be your perfect diversion. Pretty sexy vampires, if I do say so myself. =) Good luck over the next week...I have my fingers crossed for you!
I think cramps at your stage of the game is never a negative thing, but it doesn't necessarily mean anything either, you're right.
It did feel weird to me too not to do so many shots after the trigger (I was on progesterone supps too, so not even a PIO for me). I can't imagine deep intramuscular shots every night. THe trigger was enough to make me hobble around for a couple of days.
I wholeheartedly agree with you! The PIO injections suck big time! Just think, when you get your BFP, you will get to enjoy them for many more weeks. Ugghhhhh. I have been having pretty consistent cramping since ovulation and it scared the bejeezus out of me. But I have now taken a bizillion HPTs and they are all positive. So don't freak ut too much about the cramping. It may be a good sign ;-). Can't wait to read your BFP post real soon!
Ah, Twilight -- a wonderful distraction. Hang in there.
Happy 2ww to you!!!! Yay for Twilight!
Are you doing all the PIO tricks - warming the syring a little first, injecting slooooooowly, massaging injection site immediately after, sitting on a heating pad? If not, I highly suggest it and if you are already doing these, then maybe Mo's suggestion would help? Sorry you are sore!
Thinking good thoughts!
Are two weeks not up yet? Come on!!
I am on the 2ww as well - and I am googling the crap out of twinges/pulling on PIO - I had it for both of my other bfps so I am trying to convince myself that it is a good thing...
Good luck to you and I am looking forward to your updates!
Lots of sympathy on for the PIO woes - I had to switch to the icky suppositories after a few weeks because the pain just got worse and worse.
I haven't read anything Twilighty, but it's all the rage amongst my daughter and her friends, so I may have to give in and read for "research" purposes...
The shots are the worst, I have to agree...I had knots in my backside two months after we finished. I learned real quick at work who had the magic touch with the needle stabbing. Keep thinking positive thoughts. Sending prayers & love your way...Lanie
