Weekly Highlights

1. I received an e-vite to a former coworker's baby shower. Ummm, no.

2. The obligatory work baby shower: I supervise a girl who is pregnant and was asked by another staff I supervise when we were going to start planning the shower.

My response: "Thanks for volunteering."

3. A former staff decided to pop in to show off her newborn baby. I pasted a smile on my face and forced myself out of my office to ooh and ahh about how wonderful she looks and how beautiful the baby is. As talk turned to the great tax break she got for her newborn child (apparently, the government loves fertiles too), she said, "Hey, do you girls mind if I breast feed?"

Ummmm, seriously?

Makes me glad I work in an office of older people. Not many of us are of reproductive age. I'm so sorry you had that kind of day.

Hugs.

P.S. Maybe the government should give us a tax break for fertility treatments! Or just pay for them all together!

I know exactly what you mean. I've had a week of it at work as well. In fact, I am sitting here typing this and having to listen to a woman talk about the amount of people that she knows who are currently on maternity.

Oh, yikes. Sorry. Your office sounds truely unbearable.

I hear ya! The amount of pregnant ladies in my workplace is unreal. Every time a ripe batch go on maternity, a newly pregnant lot come along. And I'm still not one of them :(

Hang in there honey x

You have got to be kidding.... right!!! It sounds like a new show on TLC..."All Things Baby.... ALL the Time" I am thankful that at least where I work there are only a couple of us that are of the age to reproduce and so far, none of us are able to.

GAAAHHHH!!! Seriously, I am not sure if it's worse having people "comfortable" around you or afraid to say anything for fear of upsetting you.... Keep your chin up and am sending good vibes your way!!
