An Update

Newsflash: A.F. swooshed in on her broomstick! (And let me tell you, she barrelled in this time. A.F. on hormones is not a pleasant experience.)

Spoke to the Clinic and my OB-GYN who will be doing my monitoring. First ultrasound scheduled for Thursday a.m.

The Plan: Hoping the ultrasound will reveal plenty of antral follicles (For those of you who live outside I.F.-ville, these are the small beginnings of eggs) and quiet ovaries ("Quiet" is not the word I would use to describe the side effects of this Lupron, but hopefully that means it's doing its job).

Next step: With approval from Dr. A., let the "Egg Growing Drugs" begin!!!

Bring on the hormones!

Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated (for me and L. - ha ha).

Hey, doll...I'm still praying. I wish there were more I could do. But that's all I've got. Prayer.

I went back and read your last few posts...I've been out of town and a bit behind in reading, but the prayers have been there. I'm very proud you made it through the shower without much incident. I really don't know why you torture yourself. I think next time you should have plans...you know...like, "my good friend from KY is coming to visit!" :-)

Just want you to know that you are being prayed for. I feel sad that your friend doesn't want a Halloween baby. I know when B. and I were going through our IF process, we were praying for Christmas Day...any day...just pleading for a baby that was ours to hold and love. I pray now for you to have a sweet baby of your own. Whatever "birth day" God chooses for your sweet one you can bet it will be perfect. I pray His timing is coming soon. I pray your wait is over. I pray for peace for you as you go through this. And I pray for you and L. to blessed beyond what you could ever ask or imagine.

I want you to check out a blog I've been reading. It is very uplifting in so many ways.

I don't know the lady, but I started reading her story from the beginning of her blog (which I would highly recommend). It's powerful...honest...humerous at times...and just so transparent...she is who she is. It has blessed my life and I hope it will bless yours too. Her struggle is not the same as yours, but she still has a cross to bear. I encourage you to check it out.

oooh, good luck! And just remember, the antral follicle count isn't a cap or anything. I think they counted 12 on me, and I ended up with 30.

Hope things have gone well for you this week. I've been praying daily. I'll second what J said about that blog 'audreycaroline'. Her stuggles are not like mine. They are not like yours. But she does it with grace and prayer and faith. Her faith is amazing It took me a few days to get through her blog from the beginning and I spent a lot of time in tears for them. It has changed me.

I'm still praying :-)
